Frank Ernest Fry was the first child of George Fry & Mary Blackman born April-June 1874 in Battle, Sussex.
Frank & his parents were living at the Grocer’s Shop, Wheeler St, Framfield, Sussex in 1881 where his father was a grocer & draper.
In 1891 Frank was still living with his parents & younger brother Augustus at the Grocers Shop, Framfield. Frank was assisting his father in the shop.
On November 30th, 1895 Frank sailed from Southampton to Cape Town, South Africa on the SS Guelph.
Frank married Barbara Wilhelmina ? a few years after arriving in South Africa.
By 1908 Frank & Barbara were living at 13 Lower Main Rd, Salt River, Cape Town where twins George Frederick & Ernest Henry were born on September 21st. Frank was a salesman at this time.
At the time of the christening of their first 2 children which did not occur until1909, their sponsors were Minnie & Frank de Villiers, the father & mother. Presumably these were Barbara’s parents.
Frank died in 1911 in Cape Town, South Africa.
